The Hong Kong Jockey Club congratulates Vincent Ho on the remarkable achievements of being named one of Hong Kong’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons today (Tuesday, 6 October) in recognition of his acclaimed achievements in horse racing, continued drive for world-class excellence, and his contribution to society.
Andrew Harding, Executive Director, Racing, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, remarked: “The Hong Kong Jockey Club is delighted to congratulate Vincent on this well-deserved honour. This is particularly meaningful as it marks the first time the honour has been presented to a racing personnel among the 54 editions of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection. Vincent’s journey is defined by his resilience and never give up attitude, as well as a constant desire to learn, improve and better himself. This is best exemplified by his partnership with Hong Kong racing’s former champion Golden Sixty, and how he has returned to the saddle stronger from serious injuries.
“Vincent’s deep-rooted passion with the horse sports stems from equestrian and through The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Apprentice Jockeys’ School before becoming an internationally renowned jockey, reflecting his talent and determination. His pursuit of world-class excellence, together with his utmost professionalism, rigid discipline and highest integrity, have made Vincent a role model for young people and an outstanding ambassador for Hong Kong racing. Vincent has shown that lasting success comes not only from talent, but also from perseverance, humility and a commitment to doing things the right way. We are proud of Vincent, and we look forward to seeing him race to even greater success as he continues to inspire future generations through his passion and pursuit of excellence.”
