Docklands, the six-year-old overseas globetrotter who landed the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, has been entered for the HK$5.35 million Group 2 BOCHK Jockey Club Cup (2000m) at Sha Tin on 22 November. Subject to flight and travel arrangements, he is expected to arrive in Hong Kong on 14 November. Trainer Harry Eustace is targeting the HK$40 million Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Cup (2000m) at Sha Tin on 13 December, with an entry also expected for the HK$36 million Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile (1600m).
This will mark Docklands’ fourth trip to Hong Kong. He made his local debut in the 2024 Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile (1600m), finishing 12th behind Voyage Bubble, before returning in 2025 to run fourth to the same rival. Earlier this year, he finished third behind Ramatuelle in the Group 1 FWD Champions Mile (1600m).
Entries have closed for the three Group 2 features on Bank of China (Hong Kong) Race Day, with Docklands the sole overseas entry. The other two HK$5.35 million Group 2 contests on the card are the BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) and the BOCHK “Private Wealth” Jockey Club Mile (1600m). Entries for Hong Kong-trained horses close on Monday, 9 November, where Ka Ying Rising—the world’s highest-rated racehorse—is expected to be the headline act after finishing second in the world’s richest turf race, the Group 1 The Everest (1200m) at Randwick on 17 October.
Free entries for the HK$130 million LONGINES Hong Kong International Races on Sunday, 13 December, will close on Monday, 2 November. The meeting features four Group 1 races: the HK$26 million LONGINES Hong Kong Vase (2400m), the HK$28 million LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint (1200m), the LONGINES Hong Kong Mile, and the LONGINES Hong Kong Cup.
