It is reported that a Hong Kong owner has successfully purchased Alparslan, winner of the G3 Greenham S., and the colt will be shipped to Hong Kong to be trained by Douglas Whyte.
Currently a 3-year-old, Alparslan was trained by Karl Burke in the UK and has a career record of three wins from five starts. His career highlight came in April’s G3 Greenham S., where he led from gate to wire under jockey Clifford Lee to score by a length over the second favorite, Zavateri. The latter is a G1 National Stakes winner.
Alparslan subsequently finished fifth in the G1 Irish 2,000 Guineas, which marked his final start before relocating to Hong Kong.
